Get the heat and light right
The right heating and lighting is one of the most important parts of setting up a new pet's habitat. Reptiles, amphibians and insects need specific heat gradients — anywhere from 110°F down to 70°F. Many reptiles need specific levels of UVB to absorb calcium and make vitamin D3, and correct UVB and heat help many reptiles digest their food.
